Improv for Research

April 4, 2016 - 8:00pm to 9:00pm

Do you want to learn some tricks to make your research presentations more engaging?

Could you use some help getting rid of those butterflies before a poster talk?

Do you get really sweaty before lab meetings?

Then come do improvisational comedy!

The members of local improv troupes The Great White Narcs, Janice, and Paperback Rhino are teaming up with ICRU and the Latham Science Initiative to bring you an hour long improv workshop focused on improving research communication. Workshops will be held March 28th, April 4th and April 5th from 8:00-9:00pm at Public Space One.

This improvisational workshop will help you learn techniques to become a more engaging speaker, a more confident presenter, and it is going to be a boat load of fun!

Still not sold on the idea? See here, here, and here for how improv can drastically improve communication skills.
