Majoring in Biochemistry

Josh is a junior studying Biochemistry and Global Health Studies. He has been conducting research in the Spies Lab within the Biochemistry Department since the beginning of his college career. His work has specifically involved the understanding of various proteins that are involved in the care taking of DNA, especially when it comes to DNA replication, recombination, and repair. His most recent projects have been centered around the protein XPD, and how its mechanisms can apply to the clinical world. Josh's future goals include becoming your favorite family physician, as well as seeing a giraffe in the wild. When he isn't busy, Josh enjoys hanging out with friends, eating way too much frozen yogurt, and observing all the plants on campus.
