Noah Gilkes is a junior from Robins, Iowa majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Philosophy and Psychology. He has been an Undergraduate Research Assistant for the Bassuk lab for the past year, where they study the neuroanatomy, molecular biology, and genetic mechanisms in human diseases and animal models. Recently he has focused on the visual and neurological outcomes following traumatic brain injury in rodent models. As an LSEI fellow, Noah wants to address the importance of finding positive mental health in the student community and beyond. In his free time, you can find Noah biking, playing golf, and listening to music.
