Social Media for Stemosphere

As Social Media Coordinator of Stemosphere, the main task was to find new ways to engage the public through different online platforms and extend the science publication’s reach. Using pre-existing accounts (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) and newly formed social media accounts (Snapchat and Tumblr), all Stemosphere content was promoted. Not only that, there was an emphasis to create original content that highlighted STEM research and STEM opportunities on campus in the two new platforms, Snapchat and Tumblr. The main goal was to make STEM research accessible and fun to all audiences, and increase followership for the Stemosphere blog. You can follow Stemosphere on Facebook, Tumblr, and Instagram with the username Stemosphere; on Snapchat as uiowastem; and on Twitter using @scienceengage!
