The goal of my project is to explore and bridge the apparent disconnect between STEM fields and the arts/humanities, aka STEM to STEA(arts)M. By documenting a collaborative science-art project and working on my own project, I will better understand the creative thinking process behind interdisciplinary creative work as well as the barriers that come with it. To raise awareness and further encourage “STEAM” projects at the undergraduate level, I will organize an informational networking event featuring UI students’ and faculty members’ work.
